These cork boxes are balanced with the help of a heavy anchoring stone, to form a wine cabinet and cooler as well as a small table top to pour glasses at. The larger natural cork box encloses a tightly fit wine refrigerator, while the smaller chocolate box stores room temperature bottles. Both cases are insulated and protect bottles from light.
This piece is derived from elements of wine making - through the use of cork and the feeling of earth that the chocolate cork gives like a soil, along with the foundational rock. It is a sculpture / case meant to encourage cheers.
