Reclaimed redwood boards (c.1950) were found in the basement of a renovation project, and the homeowners asked if we could do something with them. A collection of objects was developed from the high quality old boards, which were planned down and brought back to life in the Redwood Series.
A Clock, Trays, Vase-Block, Planter Pedestal, Zigzag End Table and a Cactus Support, were excellently fabricated with our millworker, and finished with vibrant midcentury accent colors. The great age of the material shines through in deep contrast with the modern pallet, which is also derived from the era of the boards. The series is a mixture of ages in material, colors and contemporary yet elemental forms.
