Bows And Arrows new Fourth Street shop, created in collaboration with local Bay Area craftspeople and artisans, centers around a series of sculptural display pieces in a mass timber bench, solid Douglas fir shelving, raw steel rails, plaster volumes, and a few granite boulders. The raw materiality and craftsmanship of these elements mirror the same care and honesty found in the clothing and objects throughout the shop, with clean lines and material integrity defining the entire space.
At the back of the shop, a thick curved wall peels away to form the fitting rooms and gently wash natural light into the space from the skylight above. Arranged beneath the skylight and track lighting, the display elements create a kind of casual gallery for the shop’s clothing, accessories, and footwear.
